Description
Frederic Chopin composed the “Waterfall” etude as part of the 1st set of piano exercises meant to challenge pianists. Chopin’s etudes created an entirely new set of technical challenges. But they were among the first etudes to become a regular part of concert repertoire.
This arrangement uses the original piano part alongside the orchestra. We drew out melodies from the piano texture and feature some of them in the orchestra.
